One of the keys to a carpet staying clean the longest is how wet you leave it. If the carpet is left very wet then the dirt is forced down and residue re-surfaces as it drys. In addition because we rinse there is no residue left to attract dirt. Remember the function of a detergent is to attract dirt. If detergent is left on the carpet, it "Will"' re-soil more quickly.
